On a bright morning with the sun shining overhead, our group from Lankan Vibe set off for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure off the coast of Mirissa. Early one crisp morning, our group from Lankan Vibe embarked on a thrilling journey to Horton Plains, the stunning national park nestled in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Our hike led us to the iconic World’s End viewpoint, where the ground drops dramatically into the abyss below. One highlight was the sight of the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree, believed to be a sapling from the original Bodhi tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment. Standing beneath its sprawling branches, we felt a deep sense of reverence. We also explored the impressive ruins of the Abhayagiri Dagoba, once a towering stupa that housed relics of the Buddha.

As we examined the intricately carved stone pillars and the remnants of royal bathing pools, we could almost envision the grandeur of the royal court, where kings and queens once gathered. Our journey through Anuradhapura was more than just a tour; it was a captivating experience that connected us to the island's ancient heritage, leaving us with a profound appreciation for the artistry and legacy of Sri Lanka’s past.
